According to the medical board, prisoner Khaleda Zia was preparing to take her to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital but she did not agree to let the prison authorities say.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has been imprisoned in the Jia Orphanage Trust and the Jiah Charitable Trust corruption case, a 17-year sentence from the Nazimuddin Road prison in February, There he is the only prisoner.

According to the advice of the Medical Board, Khaleda Zia was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on 7 October last year. At that time, he was taken back to jail after treatment almost a month.

74-year-old Khaleda Zia suffers from various age problems including arthritis. While appearing in the court of different cases, he was seen sitting in the wheel chair. He was seen in the wheel chair while taking him from prison last year.
The leaders of the BNP leaders are not being treated properly in prison. There his ‘extreme deterioration’ has been there. That is why a delegation of BNP met with the Home Minister at the secretariat on Tuesday demanding that he move to United Hospital in Dhaka.

Later, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told reporters that the medical board visited Khaleda on February 24 and asked for some examinations. As per their advice Khaleda Zia, who was in jail for health examination, will be taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital soon.

The newsmen gathered outside the prison and in front of Bangabandhu Medical News about the preparations for Khaleda’s transfer to the hospital. BNP activists were seen to be present in Bangabandhu Medical College.

At one stage it is heard that Khaleda Zia could be brought at around 11 am. It is said later that he could be brought back at 12pm
